Beeby Memorial Scholarship

The Beeby Memorial Scholarship is now accepting applications from graduating seniors at Helena High School, Capital High School, and East Helena High School who plan to pursue education beyond high school.

MC and Leroy Beeby were an integral part of the Helena tennis community. Through coaching and hosting youth clinics, the Beebys helped cultivate a love for tennis in young players. This scholarship will be awarded in their honor to one student from each high school.

The application deadline is February 14, 2025. Apply online here: https://bit.ly/Beeby, or download the PDF form and return via the instructions listed on the form. For any questions, please contact Stephi Johnson at [email protected].

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported the Beeby Memorial Scholarship and Tennis Fest on Saturday, October 19th! It was amazing to see everyone and we are so grateful for all the generous donations and sponsorships.

A huge thank you to Kyle Wilson and his coaches/pros/volunteers, to the planning committee (who has already agreed to do this again next year!), to our sponsors, and to everyone who showed up to play some tennis and bought raffle tickets! All we can say is WOW!!! It was an amazing day and we are so grateful to the Last Chance Tennis Association, the Board of Directors and everyone who helped with the vision. Now, on to next year!

2024 Beeby Memorial Scholarship & Tennis Fest

The inaugural Beeby Memorial Tennis Fest is coming up Saturday, October 19th 10am-2pm.

MC and Leroy Beeby were integral to the Helena tennis community. This event in their name carries forward their love for the sport and benefits local high school tennis players. Through coaching and hosting youth clinics, the Beebys helped cultivate a love for tennis in young players – the Beeby Memorial Scholarship & Tennis Fest honors their legacy, celebrates tennis and creates opportunity.

Planned to be an annual event, the Beeby Memorial Tennis Fest is intended to both raise funds for the Beeby Memorial Scholarship as well as provide an opportunity for Helena and surrounding community members to come check out the Last Chance Tennis Center and the great game of tennis in a fun and welcoming environment.

The event kicks off (10am-noon) with adult and youth pro clinics. These are paid clinics, with registration including a Beeby Memorial Fest t-shirt. Our wonderful pros are volunteering their time and all proceeds will go to the Beeby Memorial Scholarship fund. Sign up here!

Food trucks will be available for lunch, followed by a selection of fun games and competitions open to all ages and abilities at no charge (noon-2pm).

The Beeby Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to tennis players from Helena, Capital, and East Helena high schools who plan to pursue higher education. Awardees will be selected based on application criteria and by an impartial panel of judges. Applications are due by January 31, 2025, and scholarships will be awarded in March.

If you are interested in donating to the Beeby Memorial Scholarship fund, you can give check (made out to Last Chance Tennis Association, memo Beeby Memorial Scholarship) or cash to club manager Meg Giddings.

If you are interested in volunteering on the Beeby Memorial Scholarship & Tennis Fest planning committee or would like to volunteer the day of the event, please email [email protected].

Please join us for a fun and lively event honoring MC and Leroy Beeby and celebrating their love for tennis!
